The 2026 CSCH annual meeting will be held June 1 – June 3, (Monday – Wednesday) 2026, St John’s College at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.
CSCH’s meeting will take place in collaboration with the Canadian Theological Society (CTS), the Canadian Society for the Study of Religion (CSSR), and the Canadian-American Theological Association (CATA). The CSCH invites proposals for individual papers and panel submissions from scholars working on the history of Christianity in Canada, as well as the history of Christianity in other parts of the world. The theme of this year’s Theological and Religious Studies forum at St. John’s is “Common Place, Contested Spaces: Religion and Theology in Canada and Beyond.” We welcome submissions that explore this overarching theme as it relates to the history of Canadian churches and faith groups. We also welcome papers that stretch the boundaries of the field or that intersect with other disciplines.
